Derek, a 14 1/2 incher, was a son of the great Ch Jade Mist Beyond Tradition. He had a 3 pt major but unfortunately, Derek's show career was cut short by an unfortunate incident with another dog. Derek had a rough life. He was one of the unfortunate souls who got caught up in the melamine poisoning fiasco that happened with several brands of dog food. He survived several months afterwards but left for the bridge in September 2008. Derek
